FAQs

Find the answers to the most frequently asked questions
1. What are LEDs?

We speak of LEDs for the light-emitting diode. When electrically stimulated, LEDs release specific wavelengths of light. Each color of light produces unique therapeutic benefits.
Photobiomodulation, also known as low level light therapy (LLLT), is a non-invasive, painless treatment using LEDs to stimulate cellular function. Stimlight Geny’s red light and infrared lights are optimized for cellular healing, improved blood circulation, and reduced inflammation and pain in the vaginal lining.

2. How do LEDs differ from lasers?

LEDs (light emitting diodes) and lasers produce various forms of light for medical therapy. LEDs produce non-coherent light, ie light particles (photons) randomly scattered and emitted by a light source. Lasers, on the other hand, produce coherent light, ie particles of light stay together. While surgical or cosmetic lasers are usually used to cut, burn, coagulate, or remove, low-level tissue light therapy (LLLT), which uses more gentle frequencies, more diffuse light from LEDs, encourages cellular function. Some of these cellular effects can also happen with controlled laser therapy. Stimlight Geny LEDs encourage nerve and connective tissue cells to improve their functions. This additional adjustment of cellular function can in turn aid vaginal lubrication, collagen and elastin production, nerve healing and increased voluntary muscle control. This results in reduction of incontinence, increased vaginal lubrication and general improvement in vaginal tone through strengthening of the pelvic floor. Stimlight Geny is a less invasive approach, less expensive than lasers and its therapy can be completed in privacy by every woman from home. Ask your doctor how stimlight Geny can help you depending on the treatments.

3. What is Photobiomodulation

Stimlight Geny uses photobiomodulation, also known as low level light therapy (LLLT), which is a non-invasive, painless treatment using light emitting diodes (LEDs) to stimulate cellular function. Specific LED wavelengths produce photochemical reactions at the cellular level. The treatments can induce spontaneous healing physiological responses, including tissue repair and regeneration, improved nerve function, wound healing, and reduced inflammation or chronic pain.

4. How does Stimlight Geny use LEDs in its therapy?

Stimlight Geny uses therapeutic LEDs, in addition to gentle heat and sonic vibration – an innovative combination of technologies – to replenish post-pregnancy lining, post-menopausal tissue and muscle back to optimal condition. This includes reducing incontinence, increasing vaginal lubrication and feeling and improving overall contraction and tightening of pelvic floor muscles.

Stimlight Geny uses light in the 662nm (red) and 855nm (infrared) spectra, two parts of the normal broad spectrum light profile. These particular wavelengths increase cellular activity and energy levels (ATP) to encourage muscle, nerve and connective tissue cells to regulate their normal functions. This regulation of cell function, in turn, aids in lubrication, collagen and elastin production, but also in nerve healing and increased voluntary muscle control.

5. What role does heat have in Geny stimlight therapy?

Heat increases microcirculation, which increases oxygen at tissue and cellular levels. It also increases nutrients to the muscles and promotes the formation of new blood platelets. The extra blood vessels, oxygen and nutrients provide more fuel to the muscles. Ultimately, this results in improved muscle performance. Heat, specific to stimlight Geny, increases the performance and strength of the pelvic floor muscles.

6. Are there any contraindications?

No unless you have photosensitive medication.

7. Is it really effective?

Yes several years of experience and a lot of medical research

8. Can anyone do sessions?

Yes

9. Can we do sessions on animals?

Yes

10. I have a pacemaker, can I use Stimlight?

Yes

11. I have screws in my bones, can I use the Stimlight?

Yes

12. Do I have to use balms with the Stimlight device?

No, both can be used separately. However, the results will be more effective by simultaneously using the balms with the Stimlight
